Senior Citizens Signing Documents

We are all asked to sign things all the time. And sometimes, even lawyers just sign what they are asked because there really is no choice- such as in a doctor’s office. Though, even then, it’s important to read documents (though one could argue that they signed something under duress- the need for medical help; it would be interesting to see how such an argument would play out in court … but I digress). There are many things that do not need to be signed, immediately. For example, if a service provider offers or is asked to do work on your home; they may give you a contract for the work and ask you to sign. A senior citizen should never sign anything that is not immediately needed. For seniors, they may have difficulty understanding a document or even trouble seeing it – there is often a lot of small print.

If you are a New York senior citizen, we will affordably look over documents to explain exactly what they say- before you sign anything.
